Download Remote Support
- Click the big gold button above.A file called SplashtopSOS.exe will download. Sometimes there is a number after the name, like SplashtopSOS (1).exe. That is normal, and it still works.
- Open that file.Look in the top right corner of this window. Right after it downloads, your browser shows it there, usually next to a small arrow. Click it. You can also find it in your Downloads folder.If your computer asks whether you are sure, or asks for permission, click Yes (it may say Run or Open instead). Those questions are normal. You may be asked more than once.
- Read us the 9-digit code.A small window will open with a 9-digit number in it. Read that number to us over the phone and we will take it from there.
On a Mac?
The steps above are the same, with two differences.
- The file is called SplashtopSOS.dmg, not .exe. Open it the same way: it is in the top right corner of this window right after it downloads, or in your Downloads folder.
- Your Mac may ask you to give Splashtop permission before we can see your screen. It usually sends you to System Settings to turn a switch on. Stay on the phone and we will walk you through it. It takes a moment, and it is normal.
